Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission

Learn about our area’s watershed and see aerial photos of Lake Country. Can you find where you live in relation to the watershed?

Pewaukee Lake Improvement Association

The Pewaukee Lake Improvement Association will discuss how they raise money to manage invasive species in Pewaukee Lake.

Waukesha Land and Water Conservation

Urbanization and the resulting runoff is now the biggest threat to water resources in Waukesha County. The Waukesha Land and Water Conservation will have a display demonstrating storm water runoff and how it affects our waterways.

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources

The Wisconsin DNR will provide information on invasive species and the Clean Boats – Clean Waters program. The Clean Boats - Clean Waters volunteer watercraft inspection program is an opportunity to take a front line defense against the spread of aquatic invasive species.

University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point Center for Environmental Education

Hands-on activities for children to educate them about the importance of preserving our water resources

L J Reas Environmental Consulting

LJ Reas Environmental consulting will teach us about shoreland preservation and restoration using native Wisconsin perennials.

Wisconsin Lakes

Learn about this group’s statewide efforts to protect and enhance the quality of Wisconsin’s inland lakes.

City of Waukesha Water Utility

Where does our water comes from? How is it treated? How can we conserve this precious natural resource?

Milwaukee Water Council

The Milwaukee Water Council will introduce their mission “To align the regional fresh water research community and water-related industries to establish the Milwaukee 7 Region as the World Water Hub for water research, economic development, and education.” They will also provide a fun water learning activity.

UW-Extension Natural Resources Education Program

The exhibit “What in the World is a Watershed” will be on display and discussed.

Discovery World Museum

Come participate in Discovery World’s interactive mobile lab where you can identify invasive species and measure the chemical properties of both pre and post-water treatment samples.

Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District

LPSD will have information to share with the public about their efforts to manage the invasive species on Pewaukee Lake and point out steps that the public can take to aid them in this process.

Milwaukee Community Service Corps

This service organization will showcase the rain barrels they produce in cooperation with Milwaukee Municipal Sanitary District.
